Dr. Bill Ellersick – Founder & CEO

Dr. Ellersick’s broad 25 years of semiconductor industry experience give him the ability to translate system, chip and test specifications into best-in-class analog solutions. His work includes the design of integrated circuits for systems on chips (SoCs) in wireless, medical, and high performance computing and communications applications. He led the design of an ASIC for a vision restoring prosthesis with the MIT Retinal Implant Group, including system architecture and the design of wireless power and data transceivers, high voltage electrode DAC, neural response LNA and ADC, and safety monitoring. As the founder of Analog Circuit Works and an expert in analog integrated circuits, he is an accomplished designer of low-power mixed signal circuits in addition to low power Gbit/s equalizers, PLLs & ADCs, transceivers and clock recovery circuits. Prior to receiving his PhD, he worked on fiber-to-the-home telephone systems featuring highly reliable, fully redundant circuitry. His experience also includes electronics design for military communication systems and embedded software design for motion control systems. Dr. Ellersick holds 10 patents with and has authored 12 publications. He received his BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic University, and his MSEE and Ph.D. from Stanford University.
